Surreal Landscape

The Photoshop surreal landscape I decided on creating was written by Jenny Le and posted here in this tutorial called How to Create a Surreal City Landscape Photo Manipulation With Adobe Photoshop. When I was doing this tutorial, I was able to follow along easily most of the time. Le provided adequate pictures and detailed text that made the tutorial experience seem fluid and continuous. Le clearly defined this lesson as an "Intermediate" level project for Photoshop users. In particular, I would recommend that anyone who wants to practice adjusting curves should definitely use this tutorial. Personally, I deviated away from the tutorial by including the city of Qatar rather than the other American city. As a criticism, I feel that Le should show her layers panel to show audiences how their layers should be organized and to avoid any confusion. 

Overall, I found this to be an incredibly interesting tutorial that created a cool image. With a majority of the directions being very clear, I think that the tutorial was successful in conveying the photoshop lesson. However, the absence of a layers panel lead to some confusion. At any rate, this tutorial was a superb piece of instructional material that teaches photoshop users how to adjust curves and saturation. On a rating scale of 1-5 (1=Worst and 5=Exceptional), I would rate this a solid 4 (Very Good).

My first efforts in developing my own animated .gif was coming up with a rocket surprise ending. The techniques applied throughput my gif included the tweening and organizing of images in to convey a clever, topical and comedic recap of a recent internet feud between two YouTubers. "iDubbbzTv" (deemed the "Content Cop" by YouTube's community) released a 30 minute video criticizing RiceGum's content and his poor excuse of a personality. One aspect of iDubbbzTv's video included a 3 minute music video parodying RiceGum's "diss tracks." The rocket in the gif was a representation of iDubbbzTv's music video and was meant to be a literal representation of iDubbbzTv's criticisms

Titans Against Cancer Gif

My school themed gif I chose was for Titans Against Cancer . 

I decided on this school theme because I was a member of the club for the past two years. Finding their meeting time was the only information needed to help complete 

My animated gif message was to inform audiences of the meeting times for the club and the club's mission statement: "Giving Hope to those who need it the most."

I believe that my intended audience was incoming freshmen. They will respond to my animation, because members of the club are portrayed as individuals who are caring and accepting according to the animation. Freshmen are generally, 

I sent the gif to the president of the club and the response I received was (which was sent through a Remind text message): "Thank you for such a for the animation Josephhhh. I'll be sure to show all of our club members during next week's meeting."

What I would do differently with my next project would be to include more walking frames instead of tweening between the walking frames. The after image left by the tweening looks really awkward so next time I'll just have to do a couple more frames of for the walking animation.

Ross O'Donovan Caught Downing Milk with Fan

Ross O'Donovan is known for his extreme love of the most popular dairy product, milk. A fan by the name of Joe Rodriguez apparently challenged O'Donovan to a "milk chugging challenge." The image above is a snapshot of the showdown between the internet celebrity and his fan. O'Donovan ended up losing the competition, but was laughing about it. "Any and all interactions I have with the lovelies (his fans) is awesome! I wouldn't be where I am without them."

It has always been a dream of mine to attend Harvard. As a first generation student, I feel like I represent my entire family when I continue my educational journey into higher education. As a result, I want to attend a prestigious university, like Harvard, to make myself and my family proud which is why I included the pillar with Harvard's banner. I chose to include Izuku Midoriya (the anime character) because I admire his hard work and determination. He dreams of attending the greatest hero instituition in his world. Thus, he embarks on a ten month journey to train for the school's entrance exam. His work ethic and tenacity inspire me to give my absolute best at anything and everything I do
